Frequently Asked Question
Pickup is usually between 6:00–6:30 AM (on peack season) because Sohoton requires an earlier departure from Siargao. Return time can vary depending on sea conditions, weather, and the day’s tour operations.
The journey from the departure area toward Socorro takes approximately 1.5 hours by large pump boat. Once you reach Sohoton, you’ll transfer to smaller local boats for exploring the cove and its attractions.
Yes. The Jellyfish Sanctuary is part of the planned Sohoton experience. However, jellyfish are wild marine animals, so their presence and the ability to visit or swim with them depend on the season, weather, tides, and local conditions.
No. Cliff jumping is completely optional. You can skip the activity and still enjoy the rest of the Sohoton tour.
You don’t need to be a strong swimmer to join the tour. Life jackets are provided for boat transfers and water activities. If you’re not confident in the water, please inform your guide so they can assist you.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, drinking water, a waterproof or dry bag, and extra clothes. We also recommend bringing earplugs for the longer pump-boat journey if you’re sensitive to engine noise.
Children and seniors can join, but keep in mind that Sohoton is a longer full-day adventure involving boat transfers and water activities. Some activities, such as cave exploration and cliff jumping, may not be suitable for every guest and can simply be skipped.
Sohoton is highly dependent on sea and weather conditions. If local authorities or the Coast Guard suspend sea travel, the tour cannot proceed. Our team will coordinate with you regarding the available options when this happens.
