Six frames from a Siargao Wonder day
Boat leaves at first light. Home before the sunset. Everything in between is what you came for.
Every season is a good one — honestly
Siargao's weather is dramatic and worth planning around. Here is what to expect, month by month, from people who watch the sky every day.
Dry season
The postcard months. Calmest seas, biggest visibility, best light for photos. Ideal for first-time visitors and island-hopping in comfort.
- Sea state: glass-flat most mornings
- Rain: rare, usually short showers
- Crowd level: high · book ahead
- Best for: Tri-Island, Sohoton, snorkelling
Green season
Fewer crowds, dramatic skies, warm rain in the afternoon. Cloud 9 is at its heaviest. Peak season for surfers and photographers who love mood.
- Sea state: swelly · surf peaks Sep–Nov
- Rain: daily, often in short bursts
- Crowd level: moderate
- Best for: surfers, budget travellers, photographers
Cool & transitional
Mixed weather, quieter beaches, still-warm water. The between-two-worlds calm — half-empty coves, cheaper stays, and unpredictable magic.
- Sea state: variable, check the day-of
- Rain: intermittent, cooler evenings
- Crowd level: low (except Christmas week)
- Best for: slow trips, digital nomads, couples

BOOK WITH US
Real stories from real people
Booked the Tri-Island tour last minute via WhatsApp — confirmed in 15 minutes. Our guide grew up on Daku and knew every good snorkel spot. Lunch on the beach was the best meal of our whole trip.
Sohoton was worth the early wake up. Swimming with the stingless jellyfish was surreal, and the cave you enter on your back was the most fun I have had in years. Guide was patient with our nervous swimmers.
Sugba Lagoon looked like green ink. I did the cliff jump three times. Paddleboards, grilled fish for lunch, quiet ride back through the coconut roads. Ten out of ten day.
Did the Café Crawl on our second day and it set the whole trip. Angel our Island Host took us to two spots we would never have found. Skipping the scooter rental for one day was the best decision.
The Catch and Cook experience was extraordinary. We fished with Tatay Roland in the morning, then cooked lunch in his home with his wife and daughter. Not a tour — a memory. Book this if you want the real Siargao.
Sunset paddle through the mangroves, then thousands of fireflies at dusk. Photos do not do it justice. Guide was safety-conscious and let us take our time. Perfect end to our honeymoon week.
